Hey guys,

I just e-submitted my AADSAS application last night and am wondering if it makes any difference to submit my secondary apps to the schools that ask you submit at the same time you submit your AADSAS primary application.

The reason I'm confused whether it makes a difference or not is because I've indicated on the application that I'm writing my DAT in August. So they have to wait anyways. Please let me know if I should finish the secondaries now, or just wait till I'm done the DAT.

Thanks alot
Rami

Another question: I just called UOM, and they said that if I submit my secondary application now, then my application will be considered complete since I have written the DAT once before.. regardless if I noted that I'm rewriting in August.. that doesn't make sense to me.. is it really true? Shouldn't they wait for my new DAT scores before assessing my application?

If this is really true, I guess I have to wait for my new DAT scores to reach them before I submit a secondary application. Please let me know, I'm starting to get worried :S

Thanks,
Rami

I would submit your secondary apps as soon as possible. I think also there's a space where you can tell the adcom that you plan to re-take the DAT. In general, the quicker your application is complete, the better your chances.

Not all schools are like that. Not many, in fact. Tell your schools you are retaking and many will just put your app on hold. Do not just trust they will wait for new scores because you indicated a retake in AADSAS. Call and make sure it will be put on hold. If you do secondaries they won't just process your app like UoM does. They will wait on new scores.

There isn't a whole lot of benefit to doing secondaries for others right now since your app will be incomplete anyway. It's nice to have them out of the way though. As long as it doesn't distract from improving your DAT, you may as well take care of them.
