Does it matter which school?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Were you ever able to find clinicals for the schools you were looking for?

I found a bunch but I believe you stated some difficulty?

I can see the names of the sites, and obviously I can research those hospitals, but I don't know info like how many rotation spots for a specific school are actually at the hospital. Sometimes though not even that info is obvious.

Here's an example: LECOM apparently has some affiliation with hospitals in San Diego. When I look at their clinical sites, I see no mention of sites out west. That being said, I see posts from SDNers in 2011 talking about it, and I've been told by current students that they exist, but I have no idea which hospitals they are and how many spots are at each. I've run into a similar problem with other schools in completely different locations.

What I'm getting at is, what is the best way to find out that info about sites short of calling up those hospitals? When you ask school admins, they are usually vague and say things like don't worry about that now, or it won't be a problem. They might tell you hospital names, but then you have no idea about the number of spots at each.

Also, my question generally is how can you confidently evaluate the quality of clinical rotations without say firsthand knowledge from students who've been through them?
