I read somewhere that liver maybe involved in steroid synthesis. Is it true?

Also I have a few functions of liver listed here. If I am missing any please point them out.

Liver:

1. albumin synthesis
2. bile production
3. destroy RBCs
4. detoxification
5. Converts Nitrowastes---->urea
6. stores glycogen
7. steroid synthesis??

ALso I just wanted to clarify the functions of these organelles can you please suggest if I am missing any important ones.

Golgi:
1. modify package proteins

Rough E.R
1. protein production
2. steroid synthesis??? i am not sure if it is golgi or ER

Smooth ER
??

RIbosomes:
protein synthesis

Mitochondria:
cellular respiration

7. steroid synthesis??Yes! it synthesizes special sex steroids.

Rough E.R
1. protein production ...Doesn't really "produce protein." That's something the ribosome does. Rough ER, is simply a series of interconnected sack-like structures that house the synthesized protein and pass it along until it arrives at the Golgi!
Besides, only proteins that are destined for secretion via exocytosis enter the rough ER. Cytoplasmic proteins, on the other hand, get released directly into the cytoplasm.

2. steroid synthesis??? Smooth ER

Smooth ER
-Lipid synthesis
-Steroid synthesis

RIbosomes:
protein synthesis

Mitochondria:
cellular respiration

Hope this helps!
