I was told not to apply to Loma Linda because my chances of accepted were nil due to the fact that I'm muslim. Is this the case? Any non-Christians get in there? Also I'm not religious so I don't have any spiritual advisors to get letters from.

LLU is notorious for accepting mainly 7th Day Adventist students over anything else. If you get accepted, be prepared to take mandatory religious classes, as well as going to church a few times. Not really a bad idea since it will give you a different perspective.

As long as you would make a good representative of their school (follow certain ethical views--good student conduct) they would be happy to have you. Lots of non-SDA students get accepted each year, but they tend to be somewhat religious as well. I think what weeds people out is the fact that many students don't want to go to school where things like church attendance is mandatory. It is not for everybody, but it you think it is for you then they wont refuse you just because you are muslim.

this really doesnt need to turn into a discussion about religion or what muslim countries allow coexistence. Islam is quite tolerant of Jews and Christians traditionally, its just world events that show otherwise, but lets keep this relevant. the question was asked about religion and loma linda, the kid was just wondering if his chances would be hurt, i dont think he cried racism at all. Its all good, if you got the grades, and you would like to go there, then you might as well apply. If you dont have the scores/wanna save money/blah blah blah, then dont apply. we all know loma linda is a great school.

and a lot of "religiously affiliated" or "christian" schools are actually really cool, they generally have good ethics, and ive had friends that were muslim visit schools and they allowed him to pray in their churhes and stuff on more than one occasion.
