I called and left several messages starting last week on their voicemail.

NOBODY has called me back.

The last time I received a response from them was by email.

I feel disrespected by their admissions committee and their office staff.

😡

It bothers me when applicants think dental schools should cater to them via telephone. If you want it bad enough you will keep calling until you get ahold of someone. That will leave a positive impression, trust me. Leaving messages won't do you much good, unless you have the intention of continuously calling back.

^^ No buddy.

I call them DURING business hours, and nobody picks up the phone.

It's only the voicemail of brian trecek that always comes on. I've left over five messages in their voicemail system. I even emailed brian and he never emailed me back.

HOWEVEr, I called the 1-800 number this morning, pressed various # choices, and finally spoke to a lady. Sheesh. I would expect the 414 area code number to be direct access to the admissions office.

^^^Yes buddy

If you don't think unsuccessfully trying to get ahold of someone at the dental school of your choice isn't a common thing, then you're dead wrong. Several times I've attempted to call my schools (and yes during business hours; I don't know why you'd call outside these hours) to see if they received my updated DAT scores. It took me almost a week of calling to make sure I could speak with people.

Is this necessary? Probably not. But if it gets my scores and file noticed, then it was worth the time and frustration. It's not all about you, you know. Schools that have 3000+ applicants are often quite busy. It's up to you to get ahold of them, not the other way around.
