Hey guys!
I'm a third year junior! I plan to apply next year. My major is neuroscience, minor is psychology. All i did research in is cognitive science. I don't know if psych experience is as good as other science research. I apologized if my question is dumb but i know you guys know everything so please help me out
Thanks a lot guys

any research is good research. as long as you can describe your experiments and results during an interview, ur good to go 👍

jb!🙂

Agreed! I did psych research also and admissions committees liked that just fine.

I'm still doing psychology research at UNC as an undergrad. The admissions committee were okay with it. They asked me what field (social, cognitive, personality, etc) I was assisting in, what the study was about, what my role was, etc, etc...the point is, any kind of research you have is good. Just make sure you are able to back it up whenever you are asked about it!

Would doing a neurobio research help in dental interview / applications?
I am currently working in one, and almost published a paper on my project (still under review).
Will that actually help in the applications, say over like dental volunteering?

dental volunteering/shadowing is mandatory. research is icing on the cake.

not really.... i only have about 50 hrs of shadowing...and i can't even count how many hours in the lab...has to be over 1000.

shadowing, in most cases, is dull & boring but you gotta do it.

just make sure you have some shadowing...jb!🙂
