Does Reaching out to the Diversity Office help?

Wondering if doing so can increase chance of admission at a particular program by showing your early interest and willingness to inform yourself? Not sure what resources are available to me as a URM applicant at particular programs and it's hard to find things like financial aid info. Does anyone have any experience with this?

The most I could think of is that they may be able to help you get some more financial aid once you've been admitted.

Many of the diversity offices reached out to me once I had been given an interview invite. Prior to that, I did not reach out to them.
