Hello,

I did biochemistry research internship for a summer at a university. Is this going to greatly support my application to osteopathic school or will it even hurt it? What kinds of activities should I do to promote my chances to getting accepted in to osteopathic school (besides a high GPA and MCAT score)? How useful are clubs or extracurricular activities? I understand that shadowing a D.O. is important but for how many hours is competitive? I want to do an anesthesiology or internal medicine residency, is osteopathic school the more suitable route. Thank you

of course it would strengthen you application, why would it hurt you app? why would you name be Osteo4Life and yet you don't know anything about the DO route and Anesthesio or IM, wtf! I smell something fishy, or trolly!

It is medical school, not osteopathic school. Yes, research will help (as the previous poster stated, how would it hurt?). Yes, you can do anesthesiology or internal medicine residencies as a D.O. It won't make significant difference.
