I know that many people say that sGPA is more important than cGPA, but how true is this? Why does LizzyM use cGPA to calculate your score and not sGPA? Just want some clarification because my GPA is kind of lopsided with 3.4 cGPA and a 3.9 sGPA (aacomas verified). Would someone with a 3.9 cgpa + 3.4 sGPA have less of a chance than I would (strictly in terms of numbers of course)?

I was thinking about doing a diy post bacc in fall 2019 to bring my cGPA to a 3.5. Should I do this or am I fine with my 3.4?

A 3.9 sGPA is not really a bad thing even though your cGPA is lower. You should be fine especially with a decent MCAT. Unless you failed a few courses, then you may have to explain that later on.

Failed 2 courses freshman year with large upward trend. Was kicked out of universityfor having low GPA then readmitted to same one after taking CC courses.

Edit: was cuz of a combination of freshman stupidity and natural disasters effecting my living situation.

I'm an accepted DO student who had a sGPA around 3.5. I personally think science GPA has more importance than cGPA, but I'm not an expert on what admissions look for. I doubt my sGPA is competitive for MD programs.
