Yes, definitely. Any kind of internship or experience that's unique/interesting will help you out. If nothing else, it'll give you something to talk about during interviews.
 
yes, definitely. It certainly won't hurt you at all, and living abroad is amazing and completely different than just visiting somewhere on vacation. My experiences abroad have made me more independent, open-minded, and have changed my perspectives and priorities. I wouldn't trade them for anything! (random side note- Mark Twain has loads of inspiring quotes about travel).
