I am taking REL 101 this fall which is an undergraduate requirement class that I have no strong interest in, and I have decided to take the credit/no credit option. Will this look bad when I am applying to med school? I just really do not want to waste time studying for this class when I can avoid it.

side note- I heard that credit/no credit is not weighted in the amcas gpa so it will not hurt or benefit my gpa.

It is true that pass/fail grading is not included in your GPA in any way.

It shouldn't matter to do pass/fail for a random course. You shouldn't do it regularly or for prereqs.

I took a total of 3 courses credit/non throughout my undergraduate career and it was a great decision each time! Take this chance to learn about all sorts of topics you wouldn't have access to otherwise and take them without grade pressure 🙂

Credit/non isn't a good idea for major courses or pre-reqs, but otherwise it's a smart move, imo...
