Hello Friends,

I was wondering if TBR gives too much information that is not needed for MCAT. What do you think??

For example : I was reading through chapter 3 in Chemistry TBR - Equilibrium. I started with TPR and read the whole chapter... It had no mention about topics like " Using Keq to calculate shifts", "complex equilibriums", "Case specific K values" etc....

TBR has all of this included... As most of you know, I am non-trad coming back after 18 years, I need right amount of information to get through this exam with good scores...

Do we need all this or TBR just has more than any other book out there...(I checked with EK too and they do not have anything like this, they covered basics of equilibrium)

please advice

I had several "What will happen to the Keq if you add this compound or temperature" on my MCAT so those are necessary topics. TPR has to have those topics in there somewhere. I don't think TBR is too in depth for GChem or Physics. I'd even say it could use more detail for the Physics. But TBR Bio does go overboard just as every other company barring EK does...but that could be a good thing if you haven't taken the classes in such a long time.

Yes it gives too much information IMO. Their passages are the best though. I used TPRH for content review and I was able to complete TBR's passages so use which ever you prefer for content review.
