Does the 7-yar Med school offer any merit scholarship

I am looking into accelerated programs. Do they offer merit scholarships. My parents both work as Engineers and their cumulative income would not entice the school to offer me need based scholarship.

Can any one advise me? I do not want to be a burden for my parents either.

Anyway, see if you can apply for any scholarships. If not, then maybe have your parents pay part of the tuition. Make sure you really want to be a doctor, because many criticize 17-18 year olds for choosing such a career so early. And have at least a 1500 SAT (M+CR), they have very high standards for that. And also realize that you will be missing out on the college experience, which many people consider the best time of their life. However, if you're not into drinking, and if you think its all overrated, then go for it. It will save you many years of your life.

I don't know, I think I was getting mixed up between the accelerated MD/BS and other countries where med school comes straight from high school. After all it was 1am

Yes, it usually means taking all of your undergraduate classes in three years and going on the the school's medical school in what would usually be your senior year.

Brody school of medicine has one here in North Carolina. Of course, Brody is only for NC residents though.. I don't know about the other states though.
