Does the dental school application asks for you gpa, or does it wait until you graduate?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
AADSAS will calculate your GPA at the time of application submission for you using standardized values to compare each applicant evenly based off of your coursework and grades entered. After you apply and are accepted, your GPA doesn't matter as long as you fulfill the school's requirements to maintain the conditional acceptance (usually getting a C in all of your classes). If you aren't accepted, your GPA still matters a whole lot since you'll need to reapply next cycle. In your case, your GPA increasing from 3.5 from the time you apply to 3.6+ after graduation, won't affect your application at all. Most applications are reviewed July - November so by the time your fall grades are published, schools will probably have made a decision on your application.
