Does the fact that vandy hasn't invited me for sec/interview invite mean it's over?

I'm just wondering what stage in the process vandy is going through in screening the august mcater's.

My mcat scores were downloaded 3 weeks or so ago, and nothing so far from vandy. Gpa: 3.87 Mcat: 11/11/10. some public school teaching experience. some experience with hospice. Went to small unknown state school in the southeast.

I know general "what are my chances" questions suck, but seeing as how I'm asking for just one school, what is the % chance that I will get the vandy secondary(which equals interview invite)? Is it less than 15%? More than 20% Anyone with similar numbers and an august mcat want to share their vandy experiences/thoughts/chances so far.

no idea how the vandy process works but i'll share my situation.

31 years old
august mcat
most well known undergrad in the world
masters from top public u
much worse grades than you
somewhat better mcat
interesting ec's, teaching, etc but some big holes as well

got the secondary/invite a couple weeks ago

probably doesn't tell you much

thanks, did the interview come by mail or email?

I'm a litttle worried that some have already gotten invites who took the august mcat. I'm hoping they are just sending out invites at different times rather than all at once though....good luck!!

interview invite comes by snail mail in a nice thin envelope. i figured it was my first rejection and was pleasantly surprised to read the letter. i am really psyched about vandy. good luck to you.

meanderson what do you mean by unknown state school? With that package from University of Florida or some lesser known school like that you may have a 5-15% chance at an interview. If you mean Jacksonville State or something like that then no you won't stand a chance at a vanderbilt interview with those numbers. You need to be concentrating on your public state schools and making sure you are getting everything lined up the best you can for those and not worrying about Vanderbilt.
