I am about to take a job as a Neuro rehabilitation specialist/direct caregiver with a neurorehabilitation clinic. It functions as a post-acute brain injury treatment clinic, where patients temporarily live in apartments nearby and go to the clinic every day for treatment until they are ready to move on to their permanent living situations. My job would mainly be in the apartments, training patients on Activities of Daily Living and carrying out plans set by clinical therapists.
I've seen a controversial thread on whether or not a caregiver position in a nursing home is considered clinical experience, but this seems different enough to warrant a new question as the patients are in the middle of active treatment and are not residents.
Thanks!
