I realize there are many threads similar to this but I couldn't find one that answered my question. I recently got a job as a researcher for a health website at my school. People goto the website to ask health related questions and I research the answers for their questions through credible sources for writers to respond with. The questions can range from asking about birth control to how to deal with emotional issues.

I'd call that an EC, but not research.

Sorry guys. Accidentally posted this to the wrong sub forum. Can an admin move this thread to pre-medical allopathic?

No. Med schools would consider research experience to be some project you worked on in order to discover something novel.

Thanks for your replies. Does the experience I mentioned count for anything for medical school? Would it make me stand out as a candidate in a good way?

It's "different" but it won't make you clearly stand out or anything (what with 43,000 applicants, it's kind of hard to be the most different one).

You can list it under Employment-nonMilitary. It shows that you have skills similar to those of an Information Specialist (aka Librarian), but without requiring any interpersonal skills. I'm sure it must be interesting to learn about so many subjects, if you have the time to read and master the material you're researching.
