i'm going to a medical brigade in south america this summer for a week. would i be able to put hours for this under volunteer? i'm not getting paid to go, actually i have to pay to go. if i do count it as volunteer, how many hours would that be (do i count hours i sleep??)

Yep, that's considered as community service. I was going to go on a medical brigade during winter break but it was the first year of the club without a lot of funding so I passed. It seems more medical though.
