I was wondering if tutoring counts as a teaching experience. I'm pretty sure it doesn't but I wanted to see what other people think

I would say yes, especially if you hold office hours. I listed it as teaching exp and no one ever corrected me.

Lol I submitted my secondaries without it. oh well. I was a teaching assistant and I held office hours. I was also tutor. Thxs for the response.

Even if you had no office hours it counts (yes, I know you said "especially" but just clarifying by experience). When I completed my WesternU secondary that asked about teaching experience, I contacted them and they said speaking about my tutoring experience was fine.

Semantically yes, but in reality, no. teaching means preparing a lecture/syllabus,/assessing etc. Like the stuff your professors do.
