Does two minors look bad

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If your end goal is medical school, what is the point? Just focus on getting good grades and building up the rest of your application. Use that time you'll be studying for history by volunteering, research, etc. I highly doubt that majoring/minoring in history is going to make you more competitive.

If you insist on getting a minor, get it like in sociology or psychology. At least those classes are going to benefit you for the MCAT.

I am on a full-scholarship at my school that lasts four years. Here are my options:

1.Graduate in 3.5 years with a regular biology degree and a minor in history.
2. Graduate in 4 years with a degree in biology w/ concentration in microbio PLUS either:
a) Minor in history plus another minor
b) Second major in history

I'm in no rush to get out of school since I'm incredibly fortunate enough to not have to worry about the cost. Plus, my GPA is not spectacular so more classes=more time to boost it. Plus I think I want a gap year. So I guess what I'm asking is, does two minors look more erratic than if I just finished out the second major?
Why on earth would you think that two minors would be bad???

We do not care about your major or minor, only that you do well.

You won't have other easy opportunities to formally explore secondary academic interests (until, maybe, retirement age). Declaring a minor will give you access to upper-level classes you might not otherwise have. Exploring two such interests will not look "erratic."

Keep in mind it'd only boost your cumulative GPA, not your sGPA.
