Does UF accept transfers?

Do any of you have any knowledge on if UF accepts transfer applicants? Basically, if I don't get into UF this year (I will just cry 😢) and I am accepted to another school, what is the likelihood of transferring?

Has anyone done this?

UF is my IS.

I don't think a school would be able to take on transfers unless a seat becomes available for obvious reasons. I'd call the school on that one! It doesn't look like their website says anything about transfers.

you should very carefully look at the other schools you have applied to and speak to UF. some schools do not accept transfers and for many schools, it means losing time on your DVM as well as a lot of money because you have to repeat a semester/year. transfers only tend to occur when a spot opens up and then they can choose to accept or decline applicants for a variety of reasons.

I have spoken to UF about this -- well, my mother has. She saw UF as the only school for me. They will only accept transfers if someone has flunked out, dropped out, or left the class for some other reasons. They will not increase the number of students in any way. Transferring is difficult and the requirements are different depending on what school you come from. Sometimes they make you start all over as a freshman.

Typically students transfer after they get their AA, so your junior year. In fact, that is how a lot of people actually get in. It's almost automatic acceptance if you are a FL resident and have an AA.

They aren't talking about undergrad transfers. They are talking about vet school transfers. After you get your undergrad and you are in vet school. Some vet schools allow students to transfer from another vet school and many do not. It is difficult to do, but possible, depending upon the school.
