Does UIC require MCAT scores to be in before sending sec?

I just called the UIC admissions office to see why I never received a secondary invite email. They said they wait for MCAT scores to be in before sending these out.

I didn't know UIC screens. Is that true?

who did you talk to? are you sure it was UIC, cause they don't screen dude.

UIC does screen, tho the cut off stats are pretty low. Pretty much anything above 23/24 on MCAT will get an interview invite. I am not sure what the GPA cut off is. Good luck.

I am so confused about this! I called UIC yesterday saying I got the first email that allows you to go to the check status page, but that I never got an email inviting me to do a secondary. They said you only get that email once they get your MCAT scores.

Can anyone clarify????

Everyone who applies to UIC gets the first email regarding the check status page. UIC does a screen and those applicants who meet the minimum numbers get the second email, which is a secondary invite.

You probably don't have a set of MCAT scores and UIC cannot screen your application until it receives your MCAT scores. If your MCAT scores make the screen, you will get a secondary invite.

If I were you, I'd download the secondary and have it ready to be sent (The UIC secondary is long). I wouldn't wait for the secondary invite because you will probalby get one. Their minimum numbers are very low.

if it makes you feel better, UIC is one of those schools who interviews until late spring. I know people who interviewed in March and April and received acceptance. of course...the earlier you get accepted, you better chance you have at the chicago campus.
