I hear all the residents are dispersed across Texas, yet UTMB is interviewing for the 2009 season. Is there much of a program left? What about the strength is was well known for? Anybody know?
Does UTMB (Galveston) still have a program?

what utmb programs are interviewing for 2009?! also, the galveston daily news and houston chronicle are decent sources for information. regardless of your specialty, i think it would be unwise to apply for residency based out of a hospital that is closed until at least mid december. there are some very optimistic people at the institution, and some excellent teachers remain despite the massive cut of tenured and tenure track faculty, but you'll have to bring your own patients.

I do know about the article and threads, hence why i ask, how are they interviewing new residents when their own are dispersed across texas? is it even worth going? might as well use that travel money to buy new videogames.👍
