Hello All,

This is my first time posting and would like insight on what might strengthen the EC aspect of my application. I have worked as an ER unit assistant and radiology transporter (working close with patients during both work experiences) for a total of 4-5 years. Will this fact be worthy of noting it down on my med school application?

Can't see how it'd hurt. I think it sounds good. 👍

Of course!

No, that doesn't sound relevant at all.

Sorry, I didn't realize how senseless my question was.😕

Along the same lines, though I don't think it rates it's own post, what about a job in a hospital that doesn't directly involve patient care? I work as a safety and security officer in my local general hospital. Though I don't have care responsibilities for patients, I still have my fair share of patient contact opportunities. For example, I respond to traumas, but my job is to collect patient property and valuables. I observe the EM docs/residents (it's a teaching hospital), nurses, PAs, techs and other staff. This is just an example of a few patient "contact" capacities I get. So, my question is, does this count?
