I have below 3.5 GPA and below 30 mcat. I'm thinking of filling out more secondaries because I got so many rejections piled up. So, Wright State.....does it take out of state applicants? What are it's stats?

Please let me know!

also, how about Rush and out of state applicants?

I couldn't find the specific numbers, but since Wright State is a public university I'd imagine the out-of-state acceptance is around 15%. Their secondary fee is $40 and there are no essays. Hope this helps a little.

Over the last few years, Wright State has placed increasing importance on "humanitarian qualities" (shown by volunteering, community service, etc.).

So, if you have some good EC's, apply!

thanks for the feedback guys, esp. RT.

I thought all schools put that on their website 😛

Thanks RT, I am not applying until 2 years but this is definetly going to help. Good luck Tweety on your quest, I am sure you will get in somewhere.    😉

tweetie!
aaaah. i can feel the panic in some of your posts & it's making me nervous! it's ok to fill out more secondaries, but i don't think it's time to panic!!!!!! sdn sometimes does more harm than good i think. i just talked to someone applying, and she hasn't even turned in most of her secondaries. we're still in decent shape. just cause we haven't gotten interviews is not that big of a deal. usually only the top applicants have interviews/acceptances now, right?

hey tweetie,

rush also highly favors in state student- although it is a private school.

this is what they say on princeton reviews website- i don't have the msar on me now

Preference is given to residents of Illinois, although up to 20-30 out-of-state applicants are accepted each year.

they dont' interview that many out of state- they interview only 5 students max during the middle of the week- and those are ALL INSTATE. and then on fridays they will interview ONLY 2 students and those are out of state.

Yeah, I know - right? Well, I think WSU-COM looks beyond the numbers and picks people with a lot of volunteering experience. I know quite a few people (more than 4) who did not get in with GPAs >3.5 and MCATs >28

Anyway...who knows the real deal to all of this!😛
