Hi guys!

I was wondering if I have all of the dental school prerequisites taken care of, then do I have to be a Bio or Chem major of some kind? Or can I do something like Psych or Communications? Honest answers would be great because I would like to know how greatly it would affect my chances! Thanks!

Shannon

major's do not matter.....as long as you take the nec. prereq's and do well in them you should be fine. Actually i should say that some majors are given more leeway than others. (i.e. doing poorly in a major like engineering would be less looked down on as compared to say doing poor in a major like drawing...(no offense to those drawing majors out there...if that even is a major...=oP) b/c it is generally thought that engineers have a harder curriculum than other majors...but yeah...that would only matter if you were borderline...if you kick butt in your prereqs...you should be fine...sorry for the long-winded answer...hope this all makes sense...😛

Average GPA for school are basically for the average major: BIO . some majors are easier or harder. Most non sci are easier, other sci/math/eng may be harder.

Psych major should be fine, but you will need a good gpa. Wont have the excuse of having a hard major.
