Does your masters school matter?

I was looking into bioinformatics program as I enjoy research and definitely want to continue on with it. That being said I don't necessarily mind dishing out the money for a well named program, but would it matter to medical school admissions? My ultimate goal is med school and I'm going to be pursuing the masters regardless just wanted to know if going to JHU vs a state school program would make a difference.

For medical school admission, no.

If you want to do a special masters program, it's been said that it's better to go to a school with a well known program. If it's just a regular masters, then no, the school doesn't matter.
