So, I know most universities post their lectures online, but I've been finding out that most post them only for the 1st year only! 😱
I literally want to avoid applying to any university that has a mandatory attendance policy. Although, I can check online for that, how do I make sure that they also video tape all lectures so I won't screw myself over when I decide not to go to class.

I know I might sound like a slacker, but each one of us have their own method of learning.

If you can please name any school that you know that video tape all lectures online with off-campus access that would be AWESOME! 👍

University of Central Florida in Orlando records their lectures and puts them online. I'm pretty sure University of Michigan does so too. Also, one of the newer schools in Michigan (Oakland University/William Beaumont) requires at least 80% attendance. That's the only school I've heard of with required attendance.

UVA posts lectures for the first two years online, but there is a degree of required attendance to small group sessions. I think it's up to like 25% of all classes.

It would probably be easier to list the handful of schools that don't provide preclinical lectures online.

Most of the schools seem to post the lectures online. Something that I hadn't considered enough, was the frequency and duration of mandatory small group sessions. Having the lectures posted online sometimes feels meaningless when you have to be on campus for x2 2-hour small group sessions anyway...

Any school that doesn't do this is doing a HUGE disservice. I mean, lectures are not the main way to learn all the information, haha. Some like to go to lecture or even stream audio lectures. I stopped doing both after it was highly unhelpful after the first few blocks. However, it's not a slacker thing to want the notes to study from. Because...after all, that IS what you'll use.

I'd agree, I would say the vast majority of schools post their lectures online nowadays, with only the rare exception that doesn't. The schools that don't tend to be lower tier.

Ohio State does. They'll also stream it live.

Streaming it live is kind of neat, but at that point I'd rather just go to class!
