Dog Acting Weird

Hey guys, I am currently in college applying to vet school who has a dog that has been acting very strange lately. She is a miniature schnauzer who is 13 years old that refuses to eat. If we give her a piece of chicken or a treat or anything, she'll walk around with it in her mouth for about ten minutes like she is unable to chew. Is it possible that she had a stroke that paralyzed part of her jaw? Any help is appreciated.
