Dog Missing
Started by sask17
Me too, its nasty outside so windy and raining hard ( feels like - 3 C) ! Poor guy I hope he found shelter and I can go find him in the morning. I won't sleep much tonight 🙁
Have any luck, Sask? My Husky got away once in bad weather .... I wasn't worried about her handling the weather, of course, but hate the anxiety connected with everything else (hit by a car?). Hope he's ok!

A husky? Running away? So unusual! 😛
I've lived that nightmare a few times over. If only my boyfriend would stop saying "I just have to give her a chance..."

I know, right? And they really don't have much of a sense of direction other than "forward"... or maybe that's just mine.
She got away once at the cabin, too. On the plus side, it's on an island. On the downside, it's a couple miles long and a mile across and heavily wooded / swampland. I sent my other dog to find her, but she came back after an hour empty.... jawed, I guess. I decided Ivy would come home when she was hungry. If she could find the way and didn't stumble upon a deer carcass to snack on first.
We got a call from a fishing lodge on the other side of the island the next day. They found her wandering around playing with kids and begging for treats from their guests. Sigh.

Not just yours! Piper was once picked up by some people in a boat. They said they watched her run from someone's back yard to the edge of the pier, jump off, and she then just started swimming...apparently she swam far enough out that they decided it was in her best interest to pick her up. 🙄
Wouldn't give her up for the world though! Haha "sigh" is right

Thanks everyone for the support. Sadly my baby was hit by a semi the first night I thought he was "missing"🙁. He did have a name tag with my number on it .I am upset that I didn't get called till today and wish the truck driver would have called me as soon as it happened as it was not far from my yard.Missing my special guy big time, he wasn't even two years old yet 🙁. This is my first pet loss and it is heartbreaking.

🙁 Sorry to hear that, Sask.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you.
I'm so sorry. That's awful. My heart goes out to you.
I'm so sorry. My heart sank when I read your post. I had to say goodbye to my dog (the one in my pic) a few weeks ago, so hopefully both of them are up there in dog heaven together romping around and having a blast. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Again, I am so sorry.
****. 🙁

Thanks again everyone for the kind thoughts and support. It was a difficult day everything reminded me of him, but I have a lot of support from my family. I know he is happy on the other side he has friends that have died recently, i'm sure he is running around playing like the cheerful pup he was.
OMG I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts go out to you.
I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy, sask 🙁
