I am the first one in my surgical rotation to do one, so I don't have any example to lean on.

Basically, the med students all pick a case and present a powerpoint to the attending and fellow colleagues. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good model to follow for this.

Thanks in advance.

Pick a prototypical kind of case, but something more interesting than a lap chole or an appy. Give the patient's history and physical, the work-up that they had, the operation you did, and the outcome. Then talk about the indications for the surgery. That's mostly it.

I had to do one of these for my surgery rotation, and I did it on invasive ductal carcinoma.
