Hey gents,
I'm sure this has been hashed out in the past. However, could someone explain how approximately 50% of the job postings on gaswork.com are "over 50% doing own cases". Some are 100% doing own cases.
Then, there are those that say, "Always supervising CRNAs" etc.
What's up? If it's so much more economical to have a low MD/DO ratio to CRNA ratio (1:4 as I've seen), then how can all MD groups, or groups that only have a few CRNAs compete?
I say this cause I imagine, at least off the bat, that I'd prefer to do most of my own cases. Any input is greatly appreciated, and let's not make this too political. But, are there billing differences? Case complexity differences?
FYI, I'm a med student very interested in anesthesiology.
