A few months ago I changed my username so it wouldn't include my real name, but I have been lurking and posting on these forums for years now. It was so helpful to read threads about shadowing, volunteering, how to study for the DAT (and do well), etc. I gathered knowledge from other pre-dents, dental students, and dentists throughout my time on the site, and I'm strongly considering donating to the student doctor network. I know this site has had a huge influence on many others as well, and it continues to be an excellent time-waster for me. I know I will continue to creep on these forums and attempt to help kids whose position I was in just a few years ago.

Is anybody with me? Does anyone want to set a pledge date and give back to SDN?

Yes, Its a great resource.
Im sure its helped a lot of people get into D school and most don't come back.
people should come back and help, even if they are not donating.

Back when I first joined SDN, I was a eager undergraduate trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. SDN has certainly helped me through my application process for dental school and getting through school itself. I became a lifetime donor a couple of years ago. Now I'm out in private practice, I still manage to donate a little bit of time here and there to the forums. 🙂
