I've just done my DAT today and here is the breakdown:
PA 20
QC 21
RC 21
Bio 18 😡
GC 24
OC 23
Total Science: 21
Academic Average: 21

I only applied to 6 schools in CA: UCLA (my top choice), UCSF, USC, Loma Linda, Western, UOP. What makes me worry most is I scored least in bio which is my major 👎. I searched through UCLA website and found that the AA average is 21, TS 22 and PA 22 (Class of 2014). So anybody here accepted to UCLA with these scores (I mean lower than the average stat that is posted on Website)? Should I retake it?

P.S.My GPA is 3.87 and 3.83, EC: tutor, 40 hours volunteer at assited living, 80hr shadowing, community trip to preschool to teach oral hygiene, etc.

Since you're fishing for compliments, here you go:

-Good Job!
-Those scores look great!
-You are the PERFECT candidate. 👍
-I hope to be just like you someday.
-You're my idol.
-You'll have no problem getting in.

There you go.

awesoem scores. you'll get in.
the only thing i might be concerned about is the shadowing hours..you might want to up them up

I would apply to 1 or 2 more schools JUST INCASE. gl.

21 is well below the national average.

Good luck!

if you wanna decrease your chances, you should only apply to UCLA (it is top choice), I would also retake DAT with my patented "skip-one-over" tactic (only answer every other question, the others you leave blank).

while your at it, lie about something obvious in your application.

Before you think about retaking it, take a look at your percentile and understand what it means.

I don't understand that much. Do they look at your percentile too? mine is AA 21 (93.4), TS 21 (91.6) and PA 20 (79). Does percentile change every year or it's just calculated during the time you take the test?

i don't understand these people... seriously. 🙄

Those scores won't get you in, they'll get you an interview. That's the final test, passing the interview.

...yes, as long as the rest of you is as good as those scores and you communicate well. Don't worry about the 18.

The 18 is a huge red flag. I would take a year off, study hard and retake the DAT to show those schools you are really serious about getting into their programs. I'd say a 24 on each section will do it.

👍
omg. VOM.

You do know that an 18 is an average score people get to get accepted, right? And having phenomenal scores in every other section plus an average score= you do the math.

more like 19.2 AA for average matriculation... that was 2 years ago

The next step is to look over SDN's interview feedback forum. Good luck.
