I got lots of info from this website so I would like to contribute.
here are my scores

PAT: 18 🙁
QR: 23
RC: 21
Biology: 20
Gen Chem: 27
Ochem: 23
Total Science: 23
AA: 23

except for PAT, I think I did pretty okay.
I did the kaplan course (at the center, not online one),
DAT achiever, and Topscore.
DAT achiever is a great help, so please get this software.
(I saw some of same q's on the actual DATs)
Topscore is kind of close to the real test but real test is a lot
easier than any other tests out there, but don't slack off because
it is a lot of information and q's can seem very random.

as far as kaplan goes, many people say it's a waste of money
but personally, I don't think it is. I took the actual classroom because
I actually wanted to sit down and listen because in that way,
it's easier to learn. I learned a lot from kaplan because the last time
I took gchem and bio was like 2 yrs ago, so kaplan gave me a good
start on how and where to begin. they give you so many q's that
you are ready for the actual test. so i would say if money's not the issue,
definitely take the class cuz it can only help.

I wasn't certain about some bio q's so study bio thoroughly. For ochem, I thought I got them alright but apparently I didnt so I don't know which
ones I missed. I thought q's were pretty straightforward. ( try to memorize
common reactions, there are some predict the product q's that may be
obscure if you don't review the notes) I was most surprised at my gchem
score because that was my weakest subject but I did the best! gchem q's are
very straightforward so just don't panic and don't rush.

PAT wasn't too bad except I think I got all of angle q's wrong.
that was tough and I don't think anyone's supposed to get them
all right. try to practice angles....but I still dont know how to.

for math and reading, I thought q's were very straightfoward and easy.
so the main thing in taking the DAT is that you might think q's are easy
so it is easy to make mistakes. Be confident, but don't be tooo confident.
try to go over your answers especially on QR if you have extra time.

hope this helped, 🙂

Wow nice job. How long did you study for the test?

I think he started to study ever since he was born. That score is ...just amazing.

thanks guys, I really didn't know where I stand with my scores..
esepecially my PAT score (a friend of mine who took the same
test on the same day got 27 on PAT...I was like dang, I suck. hehe)
I studied a couple months on and off. I was still in school so in the
beginning of the semester, I tried to study a lot but as semester was
coming to an end, I had to focus on exams, so I couldn't study as much
I had about 3 weeks to study for DAT HARDCORE before the test, but
I was too burnt out from school exams so I studied in moderate amount.
I would say I studied hardcore for about 2 months. personally, the more time
you have, the more you can prepare for the test. but the bad side is that you get too burnt out, don't wanna deal with it after awhile... you have to be motivated, I guess.

Great job accomplished, dent_girl! 18 on PAT is not bad at all. Per statistics released by the ADA, only one candidate received 27 on Perceptual Test in 2004 out of the 9778 candidates then. Your friend who got 27 on PAT must have been really exceptional and outstanding. 👍 👍 👍
