damn!!! that's an awesome score man....how did u study? what else besides DAT achiever did u use? plzz pass on some tips man...I am using just kaplan stuff and top score...do u think I should order DAT achiever still???

OK, so this is going to make you all a little sad, but I actually re-read my entire bio textbook (over the course of a month). I also used MCAT books (EK, Princeton review). I took kaplan course and used topscore and acheiver. I also bought some random gre math workbook bc I felt like i didn't have enough practice problems. My PAT has never been great, so I'm fine with the score I got...I thought it was most similar to topscore (except those friggin' angles....i might have missed half of them who knows). I think I studied for like 5 hours a day for the past 2 months but began reviewing way back in january a little on most days and weekends. I was actually shocked by the score....

For reading comp, I think the important thing is to not waste time looking for the info. for the ?s. I actually thought the kaplan method worked...just reading the passage quickly and writing down important key words. I was able to go back through the passage quickly for the questions by using my outline. It just takes practice to pace yourself....

I think what helped me most the last week before my exam was just going over old practice exams that I had already done (without the answers filled in). A lot of chem problems tend to be very similar, and if you recognize them right away you can save a ton of time. I think the same goes for the math problems. There are always those rate problems and solving multiple equations that are on every exam (practice and real)...
