Hey everyone!

So I'm about to send in my AADSAS application but I am very confused on where to apply! I am a Texas resident and have already completed my TMDSAS application and even got an interview at UTSD Houston.

I have a 4.0 GPA from the University of Houston. I am a biology major and psychology minor.

My DAT score:

PAT: 29
RC: 20
QR: 20
BIO: 24
GChem: 23
OChem: 25
TS: 24
AA: 22

I looked up some schools:

A.T. Still
Midwestern in Arizona
Midwestern in Illinois
Loma Linda
USC
Western University- in california
Howard
Nova Southeastern University
Boston University
Tufts
Columbia
NYU
UPenn
Case Western
Temple

I wanna pick 4 to 5 schools. Which ones should I choose??

You have great DAT scores/GPA, and as long as you have good ECs and a well-written, meaningful personal statement, I'm sure that you have a great shot at any of the schools you listed. I would look into the mission of each school and determine whether it aligns with what you envision for dental school (more research oriental, more clinically based, etc.), and then from the schools you narrow down to, I would look at their locations and pick places that you would want to spend the next four years. It'd be best to get your app in quickly though, as it's getting kind of late to be submitting... best of luck!

With your high GPA and DAT score I think you are a lock for one of the Texas schools...Your in state tuition is ridiculously cheap compared to ours (California) and in your position, I would definitely attend a Texas school...

Just for comparison purposes, USC costs nearly 400k if you consider living expenses and interest, probably 3-4 times in state tuition in Texas...

I agree.. you'll get into a Texas school FOR SURE as long as you don't come off as a mass murderer or something during interviews 🙂 If I were in your shoes, I would save my money and not apply OOS.

You should hold an auction and have all the schools bid on you

Thanks everyone. I think I'm picking Columbia, NYU, and Boston.
