someone more stupid than you tries to help you out? Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the fact that they care about me. But, people should recognize themselves. I know they won't be able to help yet let them so they feel good about themselves. It's just a waste of their time and mine.

Should I just tell them they are not smart enough to fix my problems, or let them waste my, and their, time?

If they really they try to help you - I would show gratitude.
If they don't know how - I would show them later. This is the way to build your business.

Help may not be always something you want but it should be something you appreciate like what 2win said.

But if the person is getting in the way then I would suggest on either telling them to help out with little things that doesn't require much knowledge or talk them through what you want them to do.
