Well, he doesn't actually go up but he works closely with NASA projects. I thought this would be nice to share if anyone was interested.

This article also mentions J.D. Polk, the current dean of the DO program at DMU, who at the time was the "Chief of Space Medicine" at NASA. He has held many intimidating titles. I am uncomfortable in his presence.

There's a NASA clerkship rotation you can apply for to do during 4th year. You don't see patients, but you do learn about space medicine.
