Hey Gang

What if after all my efforts to get into the Advanced standing program for a few years and dont make it through. What are foreign trained dentists supposed to do in the US? Become Dental Hygenist? Start all over all again with my BS here and then eventually my DDS?

Since there a just a few hundred seats available each year for DDS I just wanted to get a glimpse of reality and not be all starry eyed.

It is easy to get disheartened especially when one has to prepare to get competitive scores on the boards. If dentistry is really what you want to do put your mind heart and soul into it and God will automatically give you what you deserve. If you are going to start with what if's it may not produce the best results. What if the world stops the next minute, what if something disastrous happens... we can think of a number of what ifs. What you must think of now is what you really want to be, what you really want to do and work towards it. Plan well, work hard and enjoy the fruits. Try to stop questioning yourself with ' what if's ' . I know its easy to preach and hard to practice, but if you really put aside questions like that your path will be clearer!
