Double gloving would be ridiculously uncomfortable...no thanks.
 
You're just wasting twice the number of gloves (and money). Doesn't matter if its a normal pt vs Hep/AIDS pt. You treat them both the same way... using universal precautions. You can't treat one patient any differently than you do another.

I prefer mittens, where's that option?
 
Pretty sure a needle will go through one or two gloves. You already lose enough tactile sensation with 1 set of nitriles. And dont you always assume a pt has an infectious blood borne pathogen? Isnt that the point of sanitary procedure in general?
