I currently attend the University of Toronto where we have three options in order to obtain our degree. The first is a specialist which is 15/17 credits out of 20 in a specialised area. The second is a double major and the last is one major and three minors.I wanted to do the specialist in Biology or a double major in Biology and French.

I was wondering which one would be more valuable in terms of medical schools or graduate schools in the states. I asked someone in the career center and she seemed lost.

Thanks in advance.

Whichever you prefer, hehe. It's more important to choose what you are really interested in and passionate about, rather than just choosing something because it might look cool on your med school application.
If you do double major, do make sure you still hav enough time and energy to probe both fields in some depth. I'm double majoring in Pharmacology and English (literature). It really keeps me sane and in touch with both sides of the arts/science line.

It really depends on what you want to do. If you want to goto graduate school in biology, specialist in biology might be better but you can get by with just regular biology as well.
