Hey guys I will be taking my DAT tommorow at 11:30 and am a little nervous about being prepared. I have been using the KAPLAN book and TOPSCORE for my review. Iwould like to run some of my practice test numbers by you and get some feedback.

bio 18-25
g-chem 16-18
organic 18-20
reading 19-25
math 16-18
pat 14-17

The scores are from topscore and kaplan tests. What do you think in comparison to the real thing. I feel that most of my trouble has been on the G-chem section. I have heard that it is much easier than kaplan and topscore. So would you say it compares to the prep test the ADA sends with tha DAT application. Any help would be great because I am fraking out. Also how does the reading compare to the real thing. Thanks

You will do fine with those practice scores. I did slightly better then top score.

Now word of advice: GO TO BED!!!

DO NOT COME BACK HERE FOR REASSURANCE. ITS SLEEP TIME FOR YOU.

The more rest you get the better you will be tomorrow morn. Trust me.

hey oncogene
first of all, don't freak out! you will think much clearer if you dont freak! i personally thought that the reading on the real thing was harder. i was scoring 22s on kaplan/ topscore, reading but ended up with a 19 on the real thing. my passages were so damn boring-- about brain scanning and another one was on receptors in the brain oh yea and another on meteoroids (BORING, and i have to say i have high tolerance for boring literature) pat is really tricky compared to practice stuff, with the cubes being on more than one plane, i swear some of them were floating on air. on my last practice b4 the exam, i got a 22 on that, but on the real thing i got a 17. i think the real thing is just plain wierd, i dont know if its hard, but its just no the stuff you are used to seeing on practice material. i thought angles weren't that bad, but cubes sucked and really messed up my timing! the sciences on the real thing are easier, except the bio i thought was really really random questions. since i havent taken intro bio since ap bio my jr year in highschool, i was just thankful that i enjoy reading random bio articles and pulled off a 20 on it. good luck to you and let us know how it went. remember to breathe, and don't forget the earplugs.

Hahhah. my reading passage on the DAT freaked me out. They were saying that most heart problems start in your 20s and that you don't really see the effects until many years later because your heart pumps 8 times more blood than necessary. I freaked out on that passage but i still did ok got a 20

haha.. compugirl, I had those same passages. I know exactly what you mean....i almost fell asleep.=)

Hey guys I am sooo glad that it's over with and I am somewhat pleased with my scores. I completely ran out of time on the math section and scored a 12. I think that has to be some record for the lowest score. My A.A. is an 18 and total science was a 19. That 12 really killed my score. the PAT was a 14. I just simply don't get that section. I have a 3.2 G.P.A and 3.7 science G.P.A what do you guys think?

Which schools are you applying to? I know that some schools wont accept dat scores lower than 13 or 14.
