DPM vs MD decision

I got accepted into a MD program out of state and a DPM program in-state. I ended up acepting the DPM program over the MD one. However, now I'm wondering if I made the wrong decision? Career, job opportunity after residence, reimbursement, respect toward my degree, etc…

You 99% made the wrong decision. Call and beg the MD program to take you in. Go read the attending forum. There is no comparison between job opportunity. MD can get a job anywhere in any field, DPM for a decent job making more than 100k a year you will have to live in middle of nowhere Montana.

DPM can theoretically work out better for someone but it would be comparable to a garbage man finding a lump of gold that made his career choice better than going to Harvard for investment banking.

Wrong decision. Do not pass up the MD opportunity for DPM, Podiatry is not worth it.
