I am interested in acquiring a DPT or the equivalent abroad in another country. I do not have the required pre-reqs.
Does anyone know which countries that this can be done in? My motivation is so that I can have a different cultural experience while
working towards my future of becoming a PT. Ideally, I'd like to study
there and have the option to be able to come back and work in the US.
Thanks!

MPT in Puerto Rico. It's accredited so you can take the NPTE. You'll need to know Spanish according to what I've read on this forum. Or you can go to a program that have clinical affiliations over seas. I think Emory has a clinical affiliation in Denmark or Sweden. I don't know but apta and ptcas are good starting points/websites to look at for more information.

Thanks!
So does that mean I would have to get accepted into Emory first?
Would I mainly be a student at Emory and do rotations abroad?

Canada has a couple programs that the US recognizes, but I looked into them and most require that you be a Canadian citizen.

Be careful with overseas schools...I'm not sure how well the degree would transfer here if the program isn't part of the APTA recognized schools.

Were you saying you don't have the required pre-reqs to do PT school here, and that's partially why you want to go overseas? If so you would be better off taking the prereqs and going to school here, and then traveling abroad for clinicals or after graduation to work as a PT.

You can also look at countries like the UK, Australia, etc...they probably have similar programs to the US.

For Schools with clinical affiliations over seas you would have to get into the program first then have your clinicals over seas.

If you are adamant about going to school overseas then any over seas school can count. You just have to petition for it (i.e. PT graduates from the Philippines. They are not CAPTE accredited but they are still able to take the NPTE to practice here. The thing is people I know who graduated from the Philippines as a PT says their 6-7 year PT degree is recognized as a bachelors degree in the US, and still were able to take the NPTE and practice here)

Well now there are four countries that are banned from taking the NPTE to practice in the US. Philippines, India, and two others I dont remember. They are not allowed to take it because of alleged cheating (leak of test questions on the NPTE in review centers) so you have to take situations like this into account if you want to go over seas to study.

Why not apply to US PT school that have overseas clinical rotations? That way you can get some time in another country but would still graduate from an accredited school and be elligible to take the NPTE without having to jump through any extra hoops.
