Looking at that problem how does he get answer C vs A or D? an explanation would be great thanks!

Well I don't even know if CH2-OH exists shouldn't it be CH3-OH for methanol?

Carbon almost always makes 4 bonds

I would have picked C based on that alone but I am still studying the Chemistry portion myself

Just curious have you taken any of the practice exams? I'm scoring about 80% on every exam no matter much much I study/review my incorrect answers
