Dr. Collins' Quantitative Section

I scored 99th percentile on the Quantitative with Dr. Collins' study guide. I felt incredibly prepared and finished with about 10 minutes to review problems. The key thing is to know how to do each type of problem in the study guide.
Different people will have varying results. I for one, found the quantitative section of the packet to be dubious at best. It included many things that weren't on the PCAT itself such as geometry. But then again, I did my packet second hand so who knows the veracity of the information I received.

Exactly. The problems that pertain to the material are top notch. If you aren't capable enough to discern whether or not the material is covered on the exam, you probably shouldn't be taking the PCAT in my opinion. Geometry isn't covered, therefore, don't study that material.
EVERY study guide is going to be deficient in some area otherwise there wouldn't be "competing" companies. I felt that it was the best bang for my buck ... I bought 3 different guides and the only one that I felt was helpful after taking the exam was Dr. Collins.

I actually don't know what material is covered on the exam. I only knew that they will test general chemistry, math, bio ...
I did look through the PCAT manual from the website I registered for the pcat exam, I didn't see any list of "specific topics" of each subject they're going to test.
So, you and CR9 said that "pcat no longer test over geometry". How do we know about this information? What other material that pcat no longer test?

Hey guys, my pcat is comign up on july 27!...I was brushing up and cracking down on some final things and was wondering how accurate do you guys think the quantative part of Dr. Collins review is when comparing it to the actual PCAT questions? Did you guys see a lot of questions formated the same? thanks for the help!
If you go to the PCAT website, and click on the Candidate Information Booklet on the left hand menu, scroll to page 21, you will find the test blue print. And geometry is not mentioned, tho it is still included in both Dr. Collins and Kaplan study guides.
