I'm taking my PCAT in a month.
I've taken Kaplan course couple of months ago..
so I've pretty much reviewed all the sections..
AS up right now, I'm going over Kaplan and Dr. Collins practice exams
and i tend to find Dr. Collins exams easier than Kaplan..
I hear a lot of comments that if I ace Dr. Collins, i'm pretty much ready
but is it really true?
I feel like Kaplan's bio, chem and math levels are higher than Dr. Collins..
Can anyone tell me which material is more close to the actual PCAT??
Although I'v looked through all the materials, I'm still getting ~75% in bio, chem and math section with Collins..
I think i can improve by practicing more practice exams .. but i'm just curious if these materials are reliable.

You might want to buy the Pearson practice tests. They're actual PCAT tests from past years so they're the best way to see what the material on the real test will be like. I thought they were very similar and the scores accurately predicted my real score but I've read that others thought they were easier than the real test.

You took test prep courses with a class or tutor or studied on your own with the kaplan book?

I've done in-class sessions with Kaplan.. and they come with the online materials..
I can take one midterm and one final that should be like the "actual" cbt pcat..
I took the midterm and i went over diagnosis stuff but it seems to me that Kaplan questions are way more twisted than collins (they don't particularly ask a higher level questions than collins but their wording is very long and time consuming compared to simplistic collins and time is everything about pcat!!)
I'm going to try Pearson's one of the 3 exams tomorrow and see which is more close to the actual test.

Thank you for replying everyone and please leave more notes if other suggestions .

I'm taking the PCAT September 21st. I've only been using the Kaplan book, my textbooks, and internet. I bought the 3 practice exams. Is it too late to purchase Dr. Collins study guides?

Of course it's not too late, but who knows how much you'll be able to do in less than a month. If I were you I would still get it, because it is the best study guide for the PCAT BY FAR. Trust me, I got a 98 composite in July with Collins. You should also get the Pearson practice tests if you haven't already
