So, if you haven't heard yet, Dr. Armstrong is heading to the southwest and becoming Professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona medical school in Tucson, AZ. He's also the director of the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA).

This should be an interesting move and I think it's a very positive impact for podiatry, especially since historically U of A has been very pro-ortho.

Anyone else??

Thanks for the good news!

I'm all for progression of the profession.

Yes, I heard about this a little while ago. I think it's great. Dr. Armstrong never stays too long in any one place.

Do you think it will hurt scholl in any way? just wondering your thoughts

No, it won't hurt Scholl, since Dr. Armstrong will probably keep one finger in the school (he seems to keep his fingers in a lot of places)

It'll be interesting to see if he is able to develop either a residency program or rotate residents through the vascular service at U of AZ.

That is what I am hoping for!!👍

So did they mention if he is going to be affiliated with Midwestern pod school faculty or in any way...
I think that campus is quite a ways from Univ of Ariz, but I could be wrong?

I'm sure there will be an affiliation in the works. The distance between the two places is about 130 miles (give or take). I'm assuming it will be a one or two month rotation with housing available during that time.
