sans the attitude/arrogance.
My point is TV is fictional.
And, while we're at it, what exactly is the role of all of the other "pee-on" docs who work under him? Are they residents, co-workers, is this a fellowship??
Great! Another fan of Black Adder. 👍 I think the brits are the best at dry humor/sarcasm.
From one of the episodes:
"I am a board certified diagnostician with a double specialty of infectious disease and nephrology."
wtf is this? and can you even do a double specialty in two unrelated fields? lol, this show is so unreal.

like i said before, search for their names on the show on wikepedia and you can learn their ages, specialties, and anything else you want to know about them. the same holds true for most other shows - grey's anatomy and such.
Good grief. You can do a double specialty in whatever you want. See first you do one residency, then you do another. Or you do a residency in one thing and a fellowship in another.
Why do premeds think they know everything.
If you need proof here are some real doctors that would seem to prove you wrong:

Google is your friend.
Anyway, I also just did some googling, and it turns out that I. Diseases is a subspecialty of IM, so is Neprhology. That is different, these aren't two different residencies, but two different fellowships within IM - now I can see how one could be board certified in both. I didn't know that before.
i've found, that at least for TV show characters, it is pretty accurate. They employ a lot of moderators to keep checking up on that stuff. Obviously they can't do it too terribly well and you shouldn't base you school report off of it, but for stuff like learning about TV show characters, I've found it to be both useful and accurate thus far.
